Waterfowl Hunts

We offer and exciting opportunity to hunt in a unique environment. Our clients will have the opportunity to harvest multiple species of waterfowl in a place that isn’t generally know for its waterfowl hunting, San Diego California!

Our waterfowl hunts take place on a large private lake that has some public access. There will be other hunters on the lake, which in fact works to our advantage.

With the lake being so large the best areas need to be hunted or else the birds will eventually find them and stop flying. Our hunters can expect to see all species of waterfowl but the most common species include wigeon, gadwall, mallard, green-winged teal, cinnamon teal, pintail, snow geese, and the occasional Canadian goose.

Almost all of our hunts start with a boat ride in the dark where you’ll go into an area that’s been selected the day before by your guide.

Decoys and blinds will have already been placed and ready for the days hunt. We use layout blinds, brush blinds, boat blinds, timber stands, and all manners of concealment on our hunts. Where the birds want to be will dictate how we’ll be hunting each day.

These are single day hunts that take place on Thursdays and Saturdays. We hunt from one half hour before sunrise until 3 pm.
